Boys Volleyball Jumps Into League

Straight out of preseason and heading straight for season– our boys volleyball are reaching new heights. The past weeks consisted of hours of practice after school alongside many games against schools out of the district. With gained knowledge and experience, our boys successfully came out of preseason with countless attacks and numerous aces; against Santa Ana, varsity pulled off a quick win (3-1) with match points (25-10), (21-25), (25-11), and (25-13), junior varsity fighting against tricky matches pulled off with (2-1) with match poinIMG_8283ts (25-15), (14-25), and (19-17), and finally Frosh sweeping Santa Ana (2-0) with (25-17) and (25-13). Ending preseason, our boys faced Godinez where varsity picked up a win with (3-1), junior varsity going (2-1), and frosh winning (2-0). JV captain Andrew Doan (11) recollects that as a team they were able to “have fun but, also play and learn together as a team.” he also adds how they have “significantly improved [their] communication.” In turn, these past weeks have prepared our boys for season.

Season started out against Los Amigos, with all three levels being able to clean up their teamwork and also in game skills, they easily took over the game. Varsity went (3-0), Junior varsity ended (2-0), as well as Frosh (2-0). Starting the season strong, our boys plan to take on all teams in our district.
