Athlete Profile: Jenna Nguyen (12)

Jenna Nguyen (12), the left outside hitter encourages the team during times of celebration and sadness. Edreana Madria (12) explains, “She’ll be there to reassure us the best way she knows how- with an endearing smile.”

  1. Every game I try to get some kind of food to get my energy up and we go outside the gym and form a circle to play
  2. I started my freshmen year 3 seasons for school and 2 club seasons. It is an interesting sport and I had friends within the sport
  3. Gaining a family through volleyball
  4. For once, I was able to trust and rely on people
  5. My role model is Matt Anderson, a volleyball player
  6. Applying my mistake and I have a bad tendency to go back to habits
  7. Coach Tina, even though she wasn’t my coach she still helped us a lot
  8. When we lost against Jv 28-30 because it was so intense, even though we lost
  9. Soccer because I played it as a child for 4 years
  10. Not really a breaking point, but  I hate it when people don’t cheer for our team
  11. To mentally prepare before a game I just tell myself I want to play
